Vintage Sansui Component Stereo System * * * * * If you are seeing this, then you already know that Sansui made the very best component stereo system in the 1970s and 80s, far ahead of even Sony. The Sansui technology was legendary, but the company was weak in marketing and distribution, and got overrun by others, and eventually becoming a shadow of its former self. Many of the Sansui products still continue to thrive in the used markets. This system was originally bought brand new around 1985 and was lightly used until the mid 1990s. It has been in storage for the past 30 years. There are four components, an integrated amplifier, stereo tuner, dual tape deck and equalizer. I don't have the wires, cassette tapes, etc. to test the system now, and these are being sold "as is". But all the components are in excellent cosmetic condition, especially considering their age, and were working flawlessly at the time the system was disassembled and put away in storage. Free shipping by FedEx Ground to the contiguous United States or local pick up in the San Francisco Bay Area. * * * * * My asking price is at the high end of what I have seen others ask for similar items. Frankly, I would not buy this set at my asking price. I don't know what the fair value is, so I will let the market decide. I will listen to offers and accept what I consider a reasonable price. * * * * * PLEASE READ THE FINE PRINT Please ask any questions before bidding, I am happy to respond promptly.
